7. TDT IN COLOMBIA
In Colombia, the digital TV system chosen was the
European DVB-T using a 6 MHz channeling The decision

MPEG-4 compression. The analogue switch-off is
scheduled for 2019.
In 2014 a Laboratory DTT between the Polytechnic
University Institution Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid
(SMO Research Group) and regional Teleantioquia
channel, in order to develop content for the Digital
Terrestrial Television is created.
