  • People need to start taking greater accountability for their own health. There should be an incentives program where medical - aid is dispersed according to a tier-system based on how well you have taken care of your health. If your past records show that you have been responsible towards your health - then you get more medical aid - when you are in need. As far as social security is concerned, individual communities have to share the responsibility along with the government. Takaful finance is one of the oldest community-based social security system. Apart from the Takaful system, the old greek and Indian community-care systems also offered a social-security which was much more robust. Where is society - cared for society at a 'living community' level! If you incentivise community-care with infrastructural funds and other amenities, communities will be more motivated to be there for each other. Then government intervention is necessary only in rogue communities - where most members are transient & hence do not care or the community is afflicted due to constant criminal behavioural inputs.
