  • What is FVAP: Federal Voting Assistance Program
Purpose: Inform and educate U.S. citizens worldwide of their right to vote. Protect and enhance the integrity of the electoral process at the local levels. Promote efficiency and effectiveness in administering UOCAVA. (Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act)
Why: Mid-Term Election is 4 November 2014 and all 435 seat in the House of representatives and 33 Senate seats will be up for re-election along with Governor and Mayoral races in many states.
Your Point of Contact: The Installation Voting Assistance Officers and the Voting Assistance Email is listed on the slide and Voting Office is located in MPD. We are here to help you register to vote.
  • These are the steps that MWR takes to ensure a sanitary and functional Laundry Mat on Camp Zama. MWR strives to provide the utmost service and quality facilities. Our staff cleans the laundry facilities daily to include cleaning
the washers, sweeping, mopping, and removing and disposing of trash. The
lint filters are cleaned daily to ensure the heating efficiency of the dryers.
Patrons are encouraged to maintain the cleanliness of the 24 hr. facility in
properly disposing of trash, and cleaning after themselves. If there is a concern
of the customer, our office phone is listed in the entrance of the facility, as well
as an after-hours phone number. If we are not able to attend to the call
immediately, our staff will return the phone call as soon as possible, and
ensure the customer is cared for. The cleaning of the facility is rotated on a
monthly basis within Recreation Division, Therefore we will post an additional number for weekends, to ensure additional accountability for the laundry facility and will continue to clean the facilities daily.
  • Due to constraints and actual control over our systems we were unable to update
information in real-time on our command channel without physically being present in the office or building that utilizes our NIPERNET.
With that said we are working on solutions to mitigate this problem. The scrolling text on the command
channel did tell the community where to go to get updated information. We
made a firm decision on Friday before the snow fell that due to the
conditions, the most effective way to reach our community was to utilize
facebook as that means of communication. We also wanted to concentrate our
efforts on the entire workforce/community and not just residents residing on
base. This also helped us to communicate information and messaging to Atsugi
as well. We are working through issues to get control of our website and
command channel where we will be able to update information without
jeopardizing the safety of personnel. Thank you for your comment. If you
have further questions please feel free to contact my office anytime.
  • ICE is designed to collect feedback about the programs and services Garrison provides.

However, with the privilege of owning a pet comes the responsibility not only to protect and properly care of their pet(s), but also to preserve and protect the safety and welfare of the community. It is the policy of this command the private property rights are subordinate to public rights to be safe and free from nuisances. The pet policy is directive in nature and U.S. personnel may face disciplinary/administrative actions for violations thereof. Violations may result in losing the privilege of living in government housing. Issue 2 All pet owners should be responsible for cleaning up feces, controlling pets behavior.
