Tips for building reference pages using MS Word Presentation Transcript

  • 1. On the “References” tab, select thereference “Style”.
  • 2. Select “Add New Source” under “InsertCitation” to enter citation information.
  • 3. Select “Type of Source” and enter sourceinformation, e.g., Author, Title, JournalName, etc.
  • 4. Check “Show All Bibliography Fields” toexpand information fields.
  • 5. When finished, click “OK”.
  • 6. An in-text citation will appear in thedocument.
  • 7. Citations can be edited or converted tostatic text for manual manipulation by firstclicking on drop-down arrow.
  • 8. Click on “Manage Sources” to view allcitation entries.
  • 9. Copy citations from “Master List” to“Current List” and preview citations.
  • 10. Click on “Insert Bibliography” to build finallist of references.
  • 11. References will appear in a list in the specific“Style” specified earlier.
