Non-Resident Ordinary Savings A/c • Purpose : Meant to keep the money you earn or acquire in India before and after becoming an NRI. • Currency : Indian Rupees • Min A/c opening amount : INR 10000(Urban), INR 5000(Semi- Urban) • Interest Rate : 4% • Repatriation : RBI allows repatriation only up to one million USD per financial year for bonafide purposes (e.g. education, medical expenses etc)
