GOALS AND DREAMS: WHY NONE ARE TOO LOFTY Part 1

Goals and Dreams STEPS TO GOAL SETTING/DREAMING Take some time and write out your goals and dreams. This is critical. Don’t contain your dreams to a “box”, get as big, or as little as you want. Let the child in you out. EXAMPLES OF GOALS/DREAMS Be in better shape. Get a new car. Stop those bad habits. Financial freedom. Take that vacation. Find the perfect house. Get that last piece of your prized collection.

Creating The Timeline Creating a timeline helps hold you accountable to your dreams. It helps those who you enlist to help you understand where you would like to go with your dreams.

Common Errors in Creating the Timeline Wanting all of them to come true as quickly as you write them onto the board. Not actually writing it out. When it’s written, it’s a lot easier to see things. Think of it as your personal road map. Putting it on the paper, and then putting it out of sight! Post it somewhere you’re always going to see it.

Suggestions Don’t overwhelm a certain time-frame with too many objectives. Space them out to reduce stress. Set smaller steps into the fabric of your big goals. It helps you see the progress as you go, so you’re not as likely to give up. NEVER GIVE UP! WHEN YOU HAVE A DREAM, RUN WITH IT!

A Vision Board A Vision Board is a very physical, very visual representation of your goals and dreams. It consists of pictures of your goals and hangs in a very visual place in your house to help you. Use magazines, the internet, your family photo albums, etc to find pictures of things you want, place them in chronological order. Look at it daily to help you re-affirm those dreams!
