How To: Find Your Voice and Vision - Presentation Transcript

    1. How To: Find Your Voice and Vision Amanda Marie Porter http://www.twitter.com/mandamae Direct: 425.681.4341
      • “ Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is simply passing the time. Action with Vision is making a positive difference.”
      • Joel Barker
    2. THE GROUNDWORK
      • Part 1
    3. Questions to Ask Yourself:
      • Who are you?
      • What are your interests?
      • What are your dreams?
      • Where do you want to see your life/business go?
      • Do you think you have relevancy?
      • Do you think your message is clear?
      • What do you think you could do to improve any or all of your voice?
    4. BUILDING THE FOUNDATION
      • Part 2
    5. Having Trouble Answering?
      • Don’t think too hard. That’s often a mistake and leads to unwanted stress.
      • Think of your passions, dreams, and goals. Let them be your guide in answering the questions.
      • Ask a few very close people in your life to help guide your answers if you get stuck.
    6. Studying Your Answers:
      • It’s okay to take some good quality time to figure it out.
      • Get as specific as you can. Yet, give yourself a few different gateways.
      • Use Re-Evaluation periods every so often after your initial Evaluation. See where you’re consistent. It could be an indicator of where your voice should go.
    7. RAISING THE WALLS
      • Part 3
    8. STEP ONE:
      • Get selective here.
      • Pick one; at most two areas that really stick out.
      • Start defining your life-plan, business-plan, get-to-that-vacation-destination, etc, around that vision and voice.
    9. STEP TWO:
      • Go out and test your initial program.
      • Again, take a few Re-Evaluation periods to see what is working, and what is not.
      • Adjust what’s not working, make stronger what is.
    10. RAISING THE ROOF
      • Part 4
    11. STEP ONE
      • Enlist your first circle (friends, family, business partners, etc) to help with the “daily tasks” so you can focus on your first efforts.
      • Get yourself into a “game-on” style mind-set. Step two’s coming… NOW!
    12. STEP TWO:
      • GET YOURSELF OUT THERE. Try a blog, try YouTube, try a method of communication you’re comfortable with.
      • Don’t be afraid to fail at first. After all, for every success there must be a lesson learned from it.
    13. PAINTING YOUR HOUSE
      • Part 5
    14. FINE DETAILS:
      • Now that you have built a house, you need to add things.
      • Think about the appearance. Is the color consistent with the style of house? Meaning, are you appearing like you want your vision to come across.
      • Add that mailbox so people can get in touch with you.
      • Decorate around your vision and your voice. Keep it appropriate to it. Keep it consistent.
      • “ All that we are is the result of what we have thought.”
      • Buddha
