  • -> Memoways = Memory + ways => ways through memory -> endless / infinite stories out of a common shared memory. -> about mixing past (memory) & present (experience) in a personal and engaging story =>
  • -> trend: video while being mobile (mobile internet + video over the web). People want to be engaged with video while being mobile (over their mobile devices) -> create the condition for networked (connected & living) media. -> modern software architecture: platform around users and projects (like dropbox, evernote etc)
  • -> working together since 2008, strong collaboration -> UF: strong on creativity, concepts, deep understanding of media landscape -> NG: strong on software architecture and global view (not an extremist), very fast in programming. Pragmatic & -> complementary skills but the same vision (workflow, values, logistics)
  • -> Working together since 2 years -> strong engagement within the company
  • -> more people around Memoways (through c-side, freelancers, network of skilled people)
  • -> video is not native to the web -> be not only passive, but also active ! -> how does classical linear storytelling adapt to the non linearity of the network ? -> the web is not a CD-ROM, a photocopy machine -> broken workflows for media producers (way from camera to the web too long)
  • -> content should adapt to us and not us to the content -> context aware data -> read + write !
  • -> use metadata for creative purposes (and not only for management & technical reasons). Metadata frees data from the author ! -> in our data deluge society, sake for our data comes from metadata (independent intelligence on data) -> free ourself from the hardware
  • -> we know timeline – now we have the spaceline ! From time code to space code… -> storytelling which seamlessly adapts to the user / spectator WHY now ? ->
  • 3 main parts: -> Editing application (for content producer) -> Cloud services (central hub & storage) -> Mobile applications (for the end users)

  • Prenez Dropbox (stockage cloud) et Evernote (annotation et partage), avec en plus une bonne poignée de Basecamp (gestion de projets), cela donne une solution originale et puissante pour vos contenus audiovisuels !
