1. What is Mitel's differentiation with Esnatech compared to Cisco, Avaya, Nortel etc.?
o The difference between Esnatech and other competitors is that Telephony Office-
LinX offers presence, instant messaging, mobility, high availability and geo-
redundancy in a single solution, where other vendors require multiple applications
to get the same functionality
2. What type of ports does Esnatech use to connect with Mitel 5000, analog or SIP?
o Telephony Office-LinX connects to Mitel 5000 using analog ports, not SIP.
3. Can this product handle multiple dialling plans?
o Yes, Telephony Office-LinX can handle multiple dialling plans.
4. Windows 2008 Server plans?
o Yes, there is a plan for Windows 2008, it's currently being tested and it will be
available in the next release.
5. Can we virtualize multiple Office-LinX instances on a single server or utilize Blade
servers?
o Currently no, because we use a USB key for licensing - but in the next release 8.0,
when we move to soft licensing you will be able to virtualize the Office-LinX
platform.
6. Will it be supported on VMWare Sphere as the 3300?
o No plans to, but with 8.0 when virtualization is supported we could validate this
environment.
7. Can the application be installed on IBM or HP Blade servers?
o Yes, the application can be installed on IBM and HP Blade servers.
8. Is this a redundant application to Mitel's Series X and/or UC?
o Esna UC server includes a portfolio of apps including alternatives to the Series X
and UC express but it does not mean you to have to choose one or the other, as
the Esna App server can work alongside Series X and UC express and simply
disable the mobility server or desktop CTI/UC services. The value of using
Esnatech Apps is one consolidated server with single licensing requirements and
single point of management and administration.
9. What about click-to-dial from web browser?
o The click-to-dial feature is available with the desktop client and the feature works
with any web browser.
10. Does the product do text-to-speech and speech-to-text?
o Yes, Telephony Office-LinX supports text-to-speech and speech-to-text, and this
service is HIPAA compliant.
11. Will Call Manager functions like "transfer" and "hold" be fully supported with SIP?
o Yes, the SIP version of Call Manager will fully support call transfer and holds.
12. Are there licensing limitation for speech entries or unlimited?
o Esna has two different licenses for speech entries. The basic license contains 500
entries and the enterprise license contains unlimited.
13. If there are multiple people with the same name like Bob, will the system ask "Do you
want Bob C or Bob K" etc?
o Yes, the system will pull up all entries matching the name "Bob" as the contacts
first and last name. The system will provide the caller with all the entries in the
system named "Bob" and allow the user to choose the correct contact. The system
can also categorize contacts based on department, for example, Bob B from
Marketing.
14. Speak the extension number?
o No, currently with the 7.1 system callers will not be able to say the extension
number to reach the contact, but with caller can dial the extension number or say
the name of person they wish to reach. In the 8.0 release coming out in early
2010, callers will be able to say the extension number to reach a contact.
15. Can you send faxes from the server?
o Yes, users will be able to send a fax using the Telephony Office-LinX server.
16. Fax Server - T.38 interoperability passed with 3300?
o The current 7.1 release does not support T.38, but the next release 8.0 will.
17. Telephony Office-LinX on Sales Workbench?
o Mitel is working on getting the Telephony Office-LinX CommSource product
number and price on Workbench and it should be available on October 1, 2009.
18. Can you have pre-programmed holiday greetings that will be played during the holidays?
o Yes, the user will have the ability to pre-program holiday greetings that will be
played during the holidays.
19. Will the holiday greeting override the main night greeting?
o Yes it can, users can even pre-program custom greetings for individual voice
menus.
20. What was that website with the video demos?

21. Any migration of database, messages and greetings from Legacy, Centigram, or NuPoint
with your solution?
o The Esna UC server can emulate Centigram and NuPoint user interfaces, but does
not offer any off the shelf utilities for migrating databases. Note: The Esnatech
UC server can import and synchronize databases from AD/LDA and CSV files.
22. Dealer Demo incentives?
o Yes, we offer a full working Dealer Demo software that is provided with your
product certification and training. Discounted to third party licensing costs $4,495
- includes 3 Technicians getting certified, working 4 port dealer, 250 user demo
with 2 ports of TTS, 2 ports of ASR, 12 month SIP license for 8 port Meet Me
conference, 1 Touch 2 Cut Esna PS service to do remote installation of the
product on a customer’s site.
23. Existing Certified Technicians, do they have to go through re-certification for Telephony
Office-LinX?
o No, existing Certified Technicians don't have to be re-certified.
