  • 1. BSN III – Q COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM AT KALUNASAN, CEBU
  • 2. SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
      • Humans and the environment are always two heterologous
      • complexes that coexist with each other to maintain the balance of
      • power. If negligence and abuse predominates in each of us,
      • individuals, then we are also contributing to our slow death. Solid
      • waste management is not an act of selfishness. It is a characteristic of
      • us, humans, the ability to show concern for each other. A habitat filled
      • with filth and garbage expresses our existence as a person dominated
      • by selfish desires and sloth. We do not own this world. We exist to
      • share this world and make it as one where future generations can still
      • thrive on and continue the process of life. Through solid waste
      • management, we become good stewards and this delineates us from
      • being animals.
  • 3. Objectives:
    • After 4 hrs of community teaching-discussion, the people of Barangay Kalunasan will be able to learn about solid waste management.
    • Specifically, they will be able to:
    • Know the program on solid waste management and the laws related to it.
    • Learn the methods and ways of segregating biodegradable and nonbiodegradable solid waste materials
    • Have the knowledge on the diseases that may be acquired associated to waste disposal
    • Appreciate the knowledge learned about solid waste management for a healthy community
