  • NUTRITION September 15, 2007 LANGUB, GUADLUPE, CEBU CITY BSN III - N Mr. Sheen Mark Bilbao
    • CESDEV outreach program was inaugurated at Langob, Guadalupe, Cebu City last September 15, 2007 by BSN 3 – N students, accompanied by their clinical adviser Mr. Sheen Mark Bilbao. Basic nutrition was presented to the community people with the aim of imparting knowledge on nutrition to the parents as well as children. They were taught on how to prepare a well-balanced diet in affordable manner and stressed the importance of eating vegetables. The program was not only information-giving but it was also an entertainment. Children really enjoyed health teachings given by our very own lecturers.
    • We also had BP taking and wound care which the people availed for free. The group also measured the weight and height of the children. Everyone enjoyed the said activity. The program culminated with a feeding activity for those children who participated the said event.

  • The lecturers discussed the three Basic Food Groups; GO, GROW, and GLOW foods. View slide

  • The children participated in the song and dance opening.
  • The lecturers give examples of GLOW foods to the children who actively listened during the discussion.
