      • Name of study: Instructional designers' conceptualizations of learning objects
      • Authors: David E. Francis and Elizabeth Murphy
      • The purpose of this study: To gain insight into how Instructional designers conceptualize learning objects (LOs) and their attributes.
      • - It aimed to identify the range and types of conceptualizations of LO attributes held by a group of designers.
      • Instrument:
      • There are two instruments that used: -Phone interviews with 10 instructional designers working to collect data.
      • -Open, axial and selective coding were used to analyse data.

      • Evaluate the feature:
      • The major features of the digital video database include the Video Vault, Transaction Bin and Video Analysis. The Video Vault allows the uploading of video clips in MPEG, ASX, WMV or MOV format by individual users. The videos can then be shared for viewing and/ or downloading under the Transaction Bin. The streaming rate of WMV video is set in between 300 kb/s to 700 kb/s, fulfilling both Internet and intranet user needs.
