Responsibilities of Channel Editors <ul><li>Blog on topics of interest and in particular find articles and links of interest and write an intro to them </li></ul><ul><li>Find content on YouTube of interest & post videos on site </li></ul><ul><li>Find books on Amazon.com and post on site </li></ul><ul><li>Find organizations and events of interest and post them </li></ul><ul><li>Find Google News Searches with relevant content and post as RSS Feed </li></ul><ul><li>Find Volunteer Opportunities on ChristianVolunteering.org and get other organizations that have opportunities to post them on the site </li></ul>

Responsibilities of Channel Editors <ul><li>Find Creative Commons licensed content and post (from Google and Flickr) </li></ul><ul><li>Create pages of content on topics and post as Wiki page </li></ul><ul><li>Create outline for topics to be filled in later in your Channel wiki </li></ul><ul><li>Find authors/speakers to donate their content to the site (papers, talks, etc.) </li></ul><ul><li>Social Networking </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Create groups on Facebook and other social networks to gather Christians with a passion around this issue </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Channel Promotion </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Seek out blogs, users and other websites to link to your Channel </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Get other bloggers to comment on your topics </li></ul></ul>

Ideal Outcomes Example: Environmental Justice Channel <ul><li>In one year, with three editors, the environmental justice Channel will have: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Posted 50 blog entries </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Wrote 10 Wiki pages and created an outline for 50 more pages that volunteers started to contribute to </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Identified 100 books and links related to environmental justice and posted them </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Identified 100 creative commons articles and photos on environmental justice and added them to the site </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Get 10 Christian speakers to donate their talks on environmental justice to be used on the site and added to a Podcast </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Added 50 videos from YouTube related to environmental justice </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Develop a Facebook group for Christians and the Environment that includes over 1,000 members </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Have 200 people from over 50 churches volunteer or take some type of concrete step toward social action </li></ul></ul>
