    • SOU CHEF MADDIE AVILON Maddie a young graduate from Le Cordon Bleu, Paris becomes the new sous chef of her father’s restaurant, The Avilon. She believes the restaurant menu is due for a major overhaul, if only she is able to convince Alex, the executive chef. She is constantly careful about her interactions with her colleagues mindful that she will need to garner their support if she wants to see through these changes. Despite her professional training Maddie often“I cook with feelings!” cooks with her instincts which is also how she deals with her everyday life decisions. 9
    • EXECUTIVE CHEF ALEX Alex Marcus is a brilliant chef notorious for his ruthless pursuit of perfection. He will not expose and risk his kitchen or his heart to failure. Older and hopefully wiser, Alex’s past failures both professionally and personally has made him risk adverse, always keeping by the books. This results in his conflicts with Maddie who constantly tries to get him to push the envelope. Will Maddie prevail in getting him to explore “This is my kitchen, new ingredients and recipes not only for theyou follow my rules!” restaurant but also his heart? 10
    • SOUS CHEF DANIEL RAY Daniel is Maddies’s childhood friend and best friend forever. Unlike Maddie, Daniel wasn’t born of a silver spoon and had to work for many years, always in control of his life choices to finally be The Avilon’s only Sous Chef. But that quickly changed when Maddie graduated from Le Cordon Bleu. Being Maddie’s confidant and only shoulder to cry on, Daniel gradually develops feelings for Maddie.“Everything is under But is he a wild card…after all he is now CONTROL chef!” the other sous chef! 11
    • SOMMELIER SELENA Selena Argon is the restaurant’s sommelier, a gorgeous temptress with an agenda; get rid of spoiled princess Maddie and win Alex’s heart. Hated by everyone in the restaurant for her cold treatment but loved by every diner for her warm hospitality, Selena knows how to keep those diners coming back for more. While respected within the industry for firing the dead weights and hiring the best in class, Selena yearns to be respected for“You are FIRED!” who she is deep down inside especially by Alex . 12
    • GENERAL MANAGER HARRY Harry Shaw is the long suffering manager who plays buffer between Alex and Maddie and mediator among the restaurant staff members who cannot get along with each other. Yet Harry suffers alone as he tries to reconcile with his alcoholic inclinations and hence lives one day at a time. Harry is also the reluctant keeper of Maddie’s father’s secrets, Christopher Avilon, the restaurant owner. But are these “Just focus on today the only secrets he is keeping?and everything will be OK!” 13
