    18. Other uses for Tupperware
      • You can keep little things from rolling around and getting lost in a drawer by using pieces of Tupperware with the lids left off.
      • Put a piece of Tupperware in your top drawer to drop change and jewelry into.
      • Put a piece in the baby's dresser to keep those little tiny socks together.
      • In 1942, Mr. Tupper bought his first manufacturing plant, a factory in Farnumville, Massachusetts
      • He wanted a lid for his plastic container with a watertight seal so food would stay fresher longer, liquid would not spill out and containers could be set in a refrigerator at any angle.
      Earl Tupper
    19. Earl Tupper
      • The world-famous Tupperware seal he designed is similar to a paint can lid turned upside down! Here’s the secret—if you look at the rim of a Tupperware product, the edge over which the seal fits flares out slightly, just 5 to 10 degrees. The little rim, combined with a perfectly fitting seal, is what locks in the freshness of foods.
      • In 1946, Mr. Tupper introduced Tupper Plastics™ brand products to the American consumer and began marketing them in department stores as well as by catalog. Tupper's first consumer plastic products were the Bell Tumbler and Wonderlier® Bowl
      Earl Tupper
    20. Earl Tupper
      • The products were displayed and very often sat for a long time on store shelves. Why? There was no one teaching consumers about the unique features of the product and how to work the now-famous seal. Mr. Tupper had the genius for creating Tupperware, but he had no idea how to get people to buy it.
    21. Quick Chef
      • Easily chop & blend in one container!
      • It’s so versatile you can use it to make salsa’s, puddings or dressings
      • Because it requires no electricity you can use it anywhere
    22. For the Fishermen…
      • If there's a fisherman in your family, Tupperware has the answer just for you. The Tupperware Pick-A-Deli pickle container is just the one thing they will need for their bait minnows. This keeps them fresh for hours and the innovative lift up strainer makes it easier than ever to grab one!
    23. Brownie Wise
      • A friend gave Brownie her first set of Tupperware bowls purchased at a hardware store.
      • It took Brownie three days to figure out how the seal worked.
      • But once she did, she began to show others the products and became excited about the potential of this product line.
    24. Brownie Wise
      • She then thought about connecting the product line to the party plan, a method of selling that had recently been introduced to Stanley Home Parties where she worked.
    25. Brownie Wise
      • Brownie Wise wrote to Earl Tupper in Massachusetts and announced that she wanted to sell Tupperware products on the home party plan. Earl Tupper had no idea what Brownie was talking about, but sent her a product price list and full permission to sell, sell, sell! And sell she did! In 1949 she was selling more Tupperware than any other distributor.
    26. Brownie Wise
      • In 1951, Tupperware was officially pulled from retail stores and Brownie Wise was hired as Vice President and General Manager for the new Tupperware Home Parties.
    27. Other uses for Tupperware
      • When your kids mix their Play-Doh, leaving you with more new colors than you have jars, put the extras in Tupperware.
      • They're also handy for leftover finger-paints.
