    • Energy Upgrade California
      • One statewide name will minimize market confusion and build a synergistic communications platform
      • Name approved by the California Energy Commission (CEC), and California Public Utilities Commission (CPUCP) on 5/13.
      • Currently obtaining legal clearance and purchasing license.
        • CEC owns the name, logo, and tagline
        • CEC will license out the name to utilities and local governments
  • 3. Energy Upgrade California
    • Prescriptive Path:
      • Statewide: SCE, SCG, SDG&E, and PG&E
      • Owner occupied single family homes
      • Basic package:
        • Air sealing
        • Attic insulation
        • Duct sealing
        • Insulation of domestic hot water
        • Combustion Safety Testing (Required on every job)
      • Focus on building shell
      • No diagnostic audit required
      • Easy entry point for customers
      • “ On ramp” for home performance contractors
      • TBD ~ $1,000 customer incentive

    • Performance Path:
      • Local Program: SCE implementing jointly with SCE
      • Focusing on owner occupied single family homes
      • Comprehensive scope of work
      • Comprehensive Assessment – Test In and Test Out
      • Requires diagnostic audit (HERS Phase II compliant)
      • Envelope measures + system upgrades
      • TBD ~ $3,500 customer incentive

    • A single, comprehensive program offering – a clear line of sight between prescriptive and performance
    • Coordinated messages from SCG, SD&E, SCE & PG&E, local government and contractors

      • Air Sealing
      • Insulation
      • Proper sizing of heating and cooling system

      • Prescriptive Path:
      • CSLB license in the appropriate specialty
      • Bonding and in good standing

      • Building permits must be pulled on all work as required by local jurisdiction requirements

      • In addition to the above, participating contractors must be BPI certified or accredited
