  • 5. Effects• New infrastructure, buildings, roads, and bridges• Public Schools• Roman Catholic became the new popular reliogon of choice
  • 6. Benefits and drawbacks (colonizer)• Benefits- resources, oil, rubber, wood, and a great location for a naval base.• Drawbacks- the Spanish ended up loosing money on the Philippians. And they lost it to the US at the end of WWII
