  • 2. RESEARCH PROJECT planning a trip to sea countriesINSTRUCTION: Students are to plan a trip to any Southeast Asian countries for your vacation. The trip you planedshould be practical and of your own interests. You may choose to visit one or several countriesdepending on your budget and timeframe. Approximately an hour a week will be given for your researchperiod, counseling session and presenting your current stage on the project. Your plan should cover all ofthe following points: 1. Which countries to visit? (What interests you about the countries (attractions, natural history, personal experiences) 2. Where to go? (attractions) What to do? (activities), What to experience? (cultural events), When to visit? (Time & Duration), What is currency getthe the countries? (flight details and options, 3. How to of to country? transportation means, price comparison) with the costs 4. Accommodation types (backpacker, hotel, motel, guest house) for each attraction, town, city, or country visited with the costs 5. How to get around inbound? (Bus, train, motor bike, plane) 6. Entry requirement and customs, safety issues, travel tips, Do’s and Don’ts, what to do in an emergency case. 7. Overall Budget (transportation, meal, accommodation, visa, pocket money, etc.) and how will you earn the amount? Each week (most likely to be every Friday), you will be given time to do research on information on one of the points. An oral presentation on your progress will be given to the class on a weekly basis (every Friday). Journal on your progress must be kept and sent to Kru Tuke on Monday of the following week for assessment. On the last week of the course, students will be given a presentation with the use of PowerPoint on their final completed trip plan. Assessments: 1. Journal on working progress every week 2. PowerPoint presentation
