  • 2. We add -er to most one-syllable and many two-syllable adjectives to form the comparative. Tall-taller Fat- fatter
  • 3. We use more with adjectives of three or more syllables and some two-syllable adjectives to form the comparative. Cheerful- more cheerful
  • 4. There are also irregular forms of comparative adjectives. Good – better Bad – worse Little – less Many – more
  • 5. The ant is smaller than the hippo.
  • 6. The elephant is fatter than the giraffe.
  • 7. The butterfly is more beautiful than the frog.
  • 8. The princess is more friendly than the witch.
  • 9. The grey car is more expensive than the red car.
