    • oAccording to Policy, Alcohol sales will stop at exactlyONE HOUR before the end of the event (10:45pm).oThe Buddy System from last year will be usedagain (you are responsible for your behavior, your date’s behavior andthe behavior of the couple sitting in the aisle across from you)oPRE-GAMING is NOT allowed, if you or your date areclearly intoxicated you will both be sent home immediately. The Risk Managementteam and the chaperones will be regulating the event at all times and they are takingthis seriously IMPORTANT RULES &
    • COCOANUT GROVE’s POLICIES: oNO SHARING DRINKS with those under 21. oNO bringing alcohol into the venue. oNO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS.HOW DOES COCOANUT GROVE ENSURE THAT THESE RULES ARE FOLLOWED:SECURITY CHECK AT THE DOOR (There will be 2 security guards atthe event and at check-in they will search only men & also girls’ bags)Wristbands for 21+ (If they see sharing, they will notify advisors)They have informed me that if we break any policies this time wewill not be able to have events with them in the future. IMPORTANT RULES &
    • TRANSPORTATION & BIRTHDAY LIST You may sign up on the bus list GoogleDocif you have not already. Now that thebar will be only open from8:00-10:45PM (one hour in advance according to ourpolicies) at the venue, a 21+ bus is not necessary. Anyone can sign up for eitherbus time, so plan with your friends. If you can’t make either bus time, contact me so I can arrange something foryou and your date. You MUST do this through me!!! IMPORTANT:Make sure to include your name & age, and your date’s name & ageEXAMPLE: Susan Burley Walker, 20 & Rutherford Williams, 23BUS #1/BUS #2 (41 couples per bus+ 2 chaperones=84ppl per bus)THE FIRST set of BUSES LEAVE EXACTLY AT8:00 PM from the BOOKSTOREARRIVES @ 8:15The people on these buses will leave the venue between 11:30 and 11:45Other Option: (If planning on coming late/or need to leave early)Taxi cabShuttle*****notify me at least a week in advance (february 17th) if you need one ofthese options. I will be more than happy to accommodate you and your guest.
    • FOODMAKE SURE YOU EAT BEFORE THE EVENT!SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED AT THE VENUE, BUT THEY ARE MAINLYREQUIRED FOR THE 21+ AS THEY WILL BE DRINKING AND NEED NON-SALTY SNACK FOODS ACCORDING TO KAPPA POLICY.WHEN MAKING A SNACK PLATE, KEEP OTHERS IN MIND. THIS WAS APROBLEM LAST YEAR BECAUSE MOST OF THE SNACK FOOD WASUNAVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO ARRIVED ON THE LATER BUSES.NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED AT THE EVENT, WEWILL HAVE PUNCH DISPENSERS PROVIDED BY COCOANUT GROVE.(LAST YEAR AT SEMIFORMAL SODAS WERE CHARGED TO US LATERAND WE PAID OVER $300 ON ONLY 98 SODAS PLUS THE SERVICETAX! THAT MEANS EACH SODA WAS $3! THIS YEAR OUR AIM IS TOSAVE MONEY AND NOT WASTE DRINKS BY LEAVING THEM ATTABLES! KEEP YOUR DRINK WHERE YOU WON’T FORGET IT! )
