Jew – What can you do? – A Futurist “Fable” of Jewish Policy
The latest outbreak of hostilities between Israel and the Hezbollah, the unearthing of a major terrorist plot in the UK and the constant “background music” of the Iranian nuclear threat has left many Jews with an enormous sense of frustration and fear. A very close American Jewish friend of mine sent me an email in the middle of the Lebanese incursion. Referring to the apparent haplessness of Israeli policy confronting these threats, he asked: “is there anything we American Jews can do?” The short answer is yes, there is much that can and must be done
(and in regards to the Iranian threat - must be done soon). The readiness of American and European Jewry to “do their part” is unquestioned. The question is what and how? Where should we be directing our energies?
