    • Race
    • genetic - differences in gene frequencies in different groups
    • Ethnicity
    • distinct cultural
    • customs/family
    • patterns/religion
  • 7. What problems do Race and Ethnicity bring to society? Limits our vision of the world (narrow minded) Inequality Superiority Discrimination Negative consequences Prejudice

      • People are socially mobile
      • If they work hard they can move up in society
      • If they start from the bottom it is extremely difficult to go upwards

    • By having fun together in a variety of sports ranging from tae kwo do to basketball players and partners improve their physical fitness, sharpen their skills, challenge the competition and help to overcome prejudices about intellectual disability.

    • Students under the umbrella of education challenge multicultural diversity and learn to work together to eradicate discrimination.
