TSI's EEE Magazine - Magneto - Presentation Transcript

    1. MAGNETO THE PROMULGATION The Ignited Minds and Ideas Magazine
    2. WHY ‘MAGNETO’? MAGNETO, as the oxford dictionary claims, is a small generator that uses a magnet to create electrical impulses. For now, the small generator is Mr. Kapil Malhotra; the magnet is the EEE certification programme and the electrical impulses are the ignited ideas from the minds that this movement ignited. This magazine is the promulgation, the official announcement of a new beginning. (Magneto is the first issue of the yet-to-come league of magazines covering the EEE certification programme.)
    3. W-EEE, THE FIREFLIES The illustration depicts the three stage evolution of one attracted to light eventually becoming a bearer of light. Light that runs on the power of ones own wings. Kindly stand up, ladies and gentlemen. The fireflies are now in the house.
    4. THE THREE E’S Evolve Empower Excel
    5. EVOLVE
    6. “The real challenge was to make the students believe that this programme was real. That the programme would definitely take them to the corporate world and give them an opportunity to work on a real time project. It was essentially a 2-3 hour discussion we had with the students, where we started off with telling them what the EEE programme is going to be. We saw the students learning and understanding each word that we said and eventually we could see an evolution happening in their mind sets.” – Mr. Kapil Malhotra.
    7. EMPOWER
    8. “In the second phase, ‘EMPOWER’, the students got an opportunity to interact with corporates. Each went to spend a day in their corporate offices and learnt how the corporate functions. It was a real time experience in terms of various operations. The students got an opportunity to visit, learn and imbibe. Within the ½ day visit they were told about the various departments and divisions, where they interact and basically the objective of the organization. Here we ensured that both the stake holders, the students and the corporates felt empowered.” -Mr. Kapil Malhotra

If it clicks, there’s no one who doesn’t benefit from it ” -Mr. S.D. Aggarwal
    11. FASHION DESIGNING: ASHIMA LEENA SINGH April 16, 2009 The ‘fabricated’ tale of red and gold “ I feel great in giving what I have received as a talent and have parented to reach where I am. 15. LIFESTYLE & INNOVATION: SWATCH April 20, 2009 ‘It’s time.’ “ We saw it as a social responsibility and decided to take the challenge. And the repurcussions were delightful! Interacting with kids made the whole thing very exciting. ” –Mr. Partha Dutta Gupta

MERGERS & ACQUISITION: BMR ADVISORS April 21, 2009 To whosoever it may concern “ The program will work out very well if a mass of companies are placed and focussed sessions are conducted with the students. 17. PRINTING: JUST PRINT.IN April 21, 2009 ‘Bhaiyya, 50 copies’ “ It’s a very good concept. I really think that you should take this concept further. Hats off to Mr. Kapil for coming up with something so brilliant ” –Mr. Gautam Sarawgi
    18. HOSPITALITY: CROWNE PLAZA April 23, 2009 Checking into the ‘check-in’ concept “ The experience was different. The students have a fair amount of knowledge which we could take notes from- considering they were giving us feedback as per the guests point of view ” - Ms. Pallavi Singh
    19. LOGISTICS: ACTL April 23, 2009 Out into the sea with a sticker that says “SHIPPED” “ ACTL gave them a flavour of the non-obvious business working style. ACTL is very industrial and B to B.
