  2. 2. What is a Podcast? <ul><li>POD = Playable on Demand </li></ul><ul><li>A series of shows, not a one time event. </li></ul><ul><li>Can be only audio; can be still photos with audio; can be video -- all options are available! </li></ul>
  3. 3. Recommendations: <ul><li>Planning -- needs a story board, just like any project. </li></ul><ul><li>Students should work with something they are passionate about. </li></ul><ul><li>Develops skills of speaking & listening directly; writing & reading indirectly. </li></ul><ul><li>Develops confidence and understanding of audience. </li></ul>
  4. 4. What hardware? <ul><li>If you have a Macbook or iphone it is easy, because it is built in. </li></ul><ul><li>For a PC you need a microphone (headset will work nicely). </li></ul><ul><li>Camera for still photos (optional) </li></ul><ul><li>Video camera for video (optional) </li></ul>
