  • 2. Our city, Sofia, is the capital of Bulgaria
  • 3. The school name and history
    • Our school was founded in 1995.
    • It is called Dimiter Popnickilov.
    • Dimiter Popnickolov was born in 1898 and graduated from University of Sofia in Pedagogy and Philosophy.
    • From 1921 to 1928 he was a school director and the founder of the first Bulgarian Parents’ School Association.
    • He wrote a lot of books and articles about education and was chosen to be a Member of Parliament.

  • 4. General information about the school
    • Level of education – primary, secondary and upper secondary ;
    • Age of the students – 7-19 years old ;
    • Number of classes - 46;
    • Number of students - 1100;
    • Number of teachers - 72;
    • Numbers of school assistants – no ;
    • Students study in the morning or in the afternoon.
  • 5. The Reception area In our Reception area There are guards who checks our student’s cards or mark books before we enter the school .

    • The principal’s name is name is Mrs. Peneva;
    • Mrs. Peneva is very nice and is not like the other principals;
    • There are a lot cups in her room;
    • The folders have important records about our school.

  • 7. The teachers’ room The teacher’s room in our school is very big. All the teachers meet in this room and talk about pupils’ progress. This room has a very long table. All the teachers sit at this table and write what they have taught every day.
  • 8. A primary classroom – 1 st graders
    • The classroom is bright and cozy.
    • Young students feel good here.
    • They like to go to school.
    • The children from 1 st class are 7 years old.
    • They learn arithmetic, writing and reading.
    • They also draw, sing and play.
  • 9. An English language classroom It is on the second floor of the school.
  • 10. The physics laboratory
    • Our physics laboratory is the same size as our typical classrooms.
    • Students from 7 th -12 th grades can use some posters and devices for better under-standing of their lessons.
  • 11. Library
    • This is our library. In the library there are books, comics and encyclopedias.
    • Children can read a book in the library and borrow it to read at home. The librarian is friendly and nice.
    • We often read a books to write our homework for different subjects in school.
  • 12. The fitness Our school has a fitness and it is so great there. It has video games when you want to relax. It has the new fixings and we go there every Saturday and we like it very much.
  • 13. The School Forum
    • This is our School Forum. It is very bright and it’s got many red chairs. It can be found in the middle of the school.
    • The Forum is the place where we perform school plays, we sing , act and watch shows.
    • We think that our Forum is nice!!! 
  • 14. Projects
    • This is our Comenius project room. We meet here and discuss our tasks.
    • We have posters and flags of many European countries.
