1. A baby polar bear looks like. It has white fur and a little bit of gray. It has a Black nose and black eyes.
They eat Arctic foxes, reindeer, rodents, muskox, fish, seals, shellfish, eggs and seabirds such asgulls. They have been known to eat beluga whalesand even walruses. They eat these cause they areconnivers.
Polar bears range throughout the circumpolarnorth in areas where they can hunt seals atopen leads. The five "polar bear nations" inwhich the bears are found include the U.S.(Alaska), Canada, Russia, Denmark(Greenland), and Norway. Contrary to popularbelief, polar bears are not found in Antarctica orany region of the Southern Hemisphere. Theycan only be found in the Arctic regions of theNorthern Hemisphere. While on thisnote, polar bears do not eat penguins since theylive in the north, unlike penguins that live inthe south.
Polar bear have only one predator on land, otherpolar bears. At sea they are attacked by killerwhales. Polar bear cubs are occasionally killed bylarge male polar bears. The only mode of defensea young polar bear has is running. At sea, aswimming polar bear would have little defenseagainst even a single killer whale.
Female polar bears dig a cave or tunnel in thesnow or ice to give birth to their babies. The PolarBear hollows out a winter den in a protectedsnow bank. Unlike Black and Grizzly bears, thePolar Bear does not actually hibernate; it is merelylethargic during the time that they spend in theden. Females den from approximately Novemberto March each year, during which time they donot eat, drink, or defecate.
