    Troop 87 July Crew at Northern Tier 2007 - Presentation Transcript

    1. Troop 87 2007 Northern Tier Trip 1
    2. Packing the in-camp gear. Ever thing we brought for in camp activities such as cooking or building a shelter for rain was kept in two of these.
    3. Packing up the food. These packs two held a weeks worth of food plus extra vegetarian food for Sean.
    4. Robbie tries on a food pack.
    5. Choosing which way to go. Hm, East or West.
    6. The last dinner before we left.
    7. Our cabin where we spent our night before we left.
    8. The first day in the water. The canoe assignments were: Mr. Imai, Robbie, and Will Mr. Welsh, Mr. Wynne, Peter The Guide, Sean, Austin. We switched assignments each day, so that by the end everybody paddled with everyone else.
    9. The first lunch. Yum, Grape Gatorade
    10. A leech attached itself to Mr. Wynne’s foot.
    11. Our first camp site. . I love cleaning dishes . Mr. Wynne had so much fun and did such a good job doing dishes he became our official dish cleaner.
    12. Our fist toilet.
    13. Day two. We had our first Portage.
    14. Group shot without the guide.
    15. A shelter to keep the rain off.
    16. Day four. Today we passed through a burnt out forest.
    17. Swimming at lunch time.
    18. Sean spends some time getting closer to nature.
    19. Robbie tips over the canoe.
    20. Today's camp.
    21. Sean celebrates the fourth of July his way.
    22. Some volunteer rangers that were passing by came to talk to us about fishing and digging toilets.
    23. Day six. Today we saw the Indian pictographs.
    24. Austin and his dad, Mr. Welsh. You may not be able to see it, but Austin is writing in his daily journal for the trip.
    25. Faint traces of a Indian Pictograph.
    26. Doing the last dishes.
    27. Peter shows off his mosquito bitten legs, the result of wearing shorts for two days instead of long pants.
    28. Day seven. Our last day. Today we did our longest portage.
    29. A small water fall.
    30. Austin carries the canoe.
    31. Mr. Welsh comes back to civilization.
    32. After the trip. .

    35. After finishing the trip we had some time to kill, and after having a unique experience with Mexican Egg Rolls, we headed off to the Soudan Mine.
