    • Coca-Cola is an example of a corporation.
    • An advantage would be that they have a higher percentage of revenues
    • A disadvantage is that they are difficult to form
  • McDonalds
    • McDonalds is an example of a franchise.
    • An advantage of franchising is you are able to expand business using the investments of others
    • A disadvantage is that you have to pay a fee in order to franchise.
  • Dominos Pizza
    • Dominos is another franchise.
  • Mission Statements
    • The purpose of a mission statement is to state the reason a business exists and what it wants to achieve
    • Google’s original mission statement was Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.
  • Goals?
    • It is important to set long term and short term goals for your employees because that way they know what needs to be accomplished and will shoot for that.
  • Company Procedures
    • Common company procedures are descriptions of the way work is to be done.
    • Procedures at a typical school would include
    • Explaining your answers
    • Working quietly
    • Work efficiently
  • Organization Chart
    • An organization chart is a diagram that shows the structure of an organization.
  • Differences?
    • A functional organization structure has people working in one function with little interaction with people in other parts of the business.
    • A matrix organizational structure involves working together and can be fun and interesting.
