  3. 3. 1765 <ul><li>King George 3 supported the idea of taxing the colonist. The colonist thought it was unfair the colonist benefited from protection of British soldiers they thought the colonist should pay the army's cost to achieve the goal they passed the stamp act. </li></ul>
