TSB in Marine• Realised value of marine to UK GDP…• Supported the UK Marine growth strategy by funding the refresh of the Technology Roadmap….• Marine energy competition launched Jan 2012• Co funding of Martec for EU competition April 2012• UK Marine Vessel Efficiency competition opens Jan 2013• Total TSB funding to date – including VE Comp £20.4m in this FY.Longer term – Continue to work with the marine and maritime industry to seek opportunities for growth for UK plc and create global opportunities

Vessel Efficiency Competition• Launched 19th November 2012 –• up to £8m fast track and CR&D – opening 14th January 2013 – Partners – DSTL and Scottish Enterprise• Encourage participation from all sectors of marine and Maritime for innovation and technology to improve overall vessel efficiency• 5% improvements for existing vessels and 25% for future
