    8. What our developers liked… 1. Web-based management console 2. Web service APIs provides wide coverage of the feature set of the Amazon infrastructure. 3. Availability of familiar Windows Server 2003 4. EC2 security and firewall configuration was comprehensive and easy to manage. 5. Elastic Load Balancing was surprisingly simple to set up 6. Global network latency has been outstanding •7
    9. Areas we feel could be improved 1. Windows instance launch times can be slow 2. Terminating an instance is not always graceful 3. The process of “bundling” an instance was sometimes unreliable. 4. A lack of AWS roadmap transparency promotes other parts of the ecosystem to build competing functionality. 5. SLA’s aren’t significant enough for those needing private cloud service guarantees. •8
