      • Suzanne Bertschi
        • Suzanne is the Product Manager of Certification for IIBA ® . In this role, Suzanne is accountable for the operational manage- ment of the certification and re-certification programs. Previously, Suzanne was a Sr. Business Systems Consultant at Sun Life Financial, responsible for business analysis and, for business analysis process improvement, training and coaching. Suzanne has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry and in IT.
        • Suzanne has a BComm degree from Carleton University.

    3. Panel Introduction
      • Kevin Brennan
        • Kevin Brennan, CBAP, PMP, serves on the Board of Directors as the Vice-President, Body of Knowledge, as well as acting as the IIBA’s Manager of Information Technology. He is responsible for the development of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge ®  (BABOK ® ) and was also one of the authors of the CBAP ®   exam. He is a frequent speaker on business analysis, project management, and software quality assurance topics at conferences.
        • Kevin has a B.A. degree in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto.

      • Michael Gladstone
        • Michael is Senior Manager, Business Analysis & Quality Assurance at Meridian Credit Union, responsible for developing the BA and QA practices, and overseeing the BA and QA activities across the organization.  As IIBA ® VP Certification, Michael oversees the operations of the Certification programs and development and management of the organization’s professional designations. As CIO, Michael's responsibilities include IT Operations and Solutions Development.
        • Michael is a graduate of York University with a BSc. in Computer Science and the Schulich School of Business with an MBA.

    6. CBAP ® Exam and Designation
      • Exam migrates to 2.0 August 1, 2009
        • Item writing team currently developing 2.0 exam
        • Exam blueprint will be published later this year
        • If you are certified under 1.6, it remains valid

    7. CBAP ® Certification Requirements
        • Application Requirements
        • Five years (7,500 hours) of business analysis work in the last 10 years experience
        • Demonstrated experience and knowledge (i.e. minimum 900 hours) in 4 out of 6 BABOK ® Knowledge Areas
        • 21 hours of BA professional development in the last 4 years
        • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
        • Two professional references
        • Signed Code of Conduct
        • Upon approval, the candidate must pass the CBAP ® Exam

    8. The Certification Process
        • Candidate submits an application for certification. The application must include:
          • Application form and application fee
          • Examination fee
          • References
          • Code of Conduct form
        • IIBA ® Certification Body reviews these materials to determine if the candidate meets all CBAP ® requirements
        • If approved, the candidate registers to take the exam
        • Candidate takes the exam
        • Candidate is notified of the result

    9. Re-certification
        • Re-certification will be required every 3 years
        • CBAP ® recipients will require Continuing Development Units (CDUs) to re-certify
