  • I so agree with you. I too live in Cyprus and love Cyprus. But all of us who live here have to learn to look after our island better. And a great start would be to stop throwing rubbish everywhere. When you've finished your canned drink or packeted snack, take your rubbish home and get rid of it properly.

  3. 3. <ul><li>The Blue Flag is a voluntary eco-label awarded to over 3200 beaches and marinas in 37 countries across Europe, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, New Zealand, Canada and the Caribbean. </li></ul><ul><li>The Blue Flag Programme is owned and run by the independent non-profit organisation Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). </li></ul><ul><li>The Blue Flag works towards sustainable development at beaches/marinas through strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and other services. </li></ul><ul><li>The Blue Flag Programme includes environmental education and information for the public, decision makers and tourism operators. </li></ul><ul><li>WELCOME TO POLIS CAMPING SITE BEACH, A BLUE FLAG BEACH </li></ul>The Blue flag
  4. 4. <ul><li>Sunday it happens to be the most busy day of the week in a place like that and this you can easily see it by the amount of uncollected garbage. </li></ul><ul><li>Garbage collectors do not work on Sundays, holidays and all other busy days. </li></ul><ul><li>The site does not have a refrigerated garbage storage, neither it has recycling containers apart of the one “Cans for Kids” which it was empty. </li></ul><ul><li>Here we can identify quality from the leftovers…. </li></ul>Recycling
  5. 5. <ul><li>More garbage but this time hidden behind cars so it makes garbage collection a “game”. </li></ul><ul><li>The hidden treasure game…. </li></ul>To be found
  6. 6. <ul><li>Do you like Barbeque ??? </li></ul><ul><li>The place is perfect to have your favorite meat grilled. Then you can just throw the cans in fire and wait until they melt. </li></ul><ul><li>Only 5 meters away from this BBQ place is the empty “Cans for Kids” container.. </li></ul>BBQ

  8. 8. <ul><li>No dogs allowed on the beach. </li></ul><ul><li>What about other animals ??? </li></ul>No dogs !!
  9. 9. <ul><li>Next to the tents on the west side of the camping there is a small river that collects the water from the rain and drives it to the sea. </li></ul><ul><li>This is how it looked today. </li></ul>The River

  12. 12. <ul><li>Of course you can ignore all that, you can just say.. </li></ul><ul><li>“ Ti na kamoume ?” meaning in Greek, What can we do ? </li></ul><ul><li>Lets have a coffee and 2 ice-creams at the price of Beluga.. This is what I call value for money </li></ul>Relax and have a coffee
