If it takes longer than 6 seconds to appreciate the picture and read the text, try using 2 or more slides to convey the message. You could even use the same picture but with less text on each slide. However put something to show that it is the second part of the bigger message.

Alas I have followed the simple rules as pinpointed but I hardly get more then a handfull of clicks. I know it is not always easy to amalgamate pictures to text and keep it simple, but I feel that 6 secs is far too short to visualize an artistic pic and read text.
