    Concept Mapping - Presentation Transcript

    1. An Idea Map is a visual representation of ideas and their interconnections. It is used for gathering together ideas and illustrating the relationships between them. Idea Maps help you analyse, remember and communicate facts and ideas. What is it?

    3. Why use Idea Maps?
      • *Allows you to see ideas in different ways & from different viewpoints
      • Clearly defines the central idea
      • Less constrictive than other methods
      • No idea takes precedence
      • Allows relative importance to be shown (colour, size)
      Why use them?
    4. Creating an idea map How to To make an idea map draw a circle in the center of the page and write down your main idea or concept inside the circle. Record your ideas in branches or sub-branches that extend out from the center circle. Mapping will help you see your ideas as part of an emerging design.
