3. HR Safety Many small-to-medium sized businesses are not big enough to justify a full-time professional
HR and/or Safety employee. At R&S, we recognize this and can assist your organization with a

Options provides your organization with a professional resource on a PT basis for the fraction of the cost of
the FT employee. Examples of services provided under this approach can include but aren’t limited

Conduct a thorough HR/Safety Assessment to provide a baseline; Develop or update the employee
handbook and all key HR policies and procedures; Set-up all proper recordkeeping and filing

We can customize an engagement that addresses your needs, which determines the number of
hours per month that the HR/Safety resource would be on-site. An organization desiring most of

Assessments • Comprehensive Human Resources & Safety Assessment: This is very popular. This
assessment will give your organization a baseline of where it currently stands in relation to the
various Federal and State laws, regulations and guidelines relevant to your organization. You will
receive a complete summary of results by key law along with the list of recommendations based
on the law and best HR practices.
• ERISA Assessment: We will review your key benefits plans, Summary Plan Descriptions,
5500’s, communications with employees, written documents, and wrap documents to ensure you
are meeting all key ERISA requirements.
• Union Vulnerability Assessment: This assessment will be able to assess how vulnerable
your organization may be to a future unionization attempt.
Training & We have a wide-variety of training classes available. These include but are not limited to the
following courses.
Development
Organization • Leadership Development: We have over 40 different leadership topics/modules available.
Development You can customize your training based on specific development needs. Our topics range from
various communications skills, legal topics, specific leadership skills, specific HR skills needed by

managers/employees; 5S/Workplace Organization training; Cycle Time Reduction training (can
reduce steps on any process in the organization); Team Defect Reduction training; Value Stream
Management; and Standard Work training.
In addition to conducting training on the above subjects and topics, we also do contract training for
organizations that have their own programs developed, but need individuals to facilitate them. We
also have the ability to administer certain tests that can aid in the training and development process.
5. Employee We can assist your organization with the design of an effective employee engagement survey. It is
highly recommended that all organizations conduct surveys at least every two years. We have done
Engagement much research on designing appropriate surveys and can discuss this with you in detail. We also
Surveys have the appropriate software that can track and trend the results of multiple surveys. We also
assist you in what to do with results and turn them into actionable items that address the main
concerns of employees. This important step could include facilitating focus groups to address the
key issues identified.
Safety/Loss We can assist your organization in putting a very effective safety program/loss control process in
