      • Course Description: 4 hour command level course delivered by DAPAs or ADAMS Facilitators, used within commands, in whole, in part, or in any manner that best suits the command’s alcohol abuse prevention and de-glamorization efforts.
      • Course Requirements: OPNAVINST 5350.4C - for all junior enlisted (E1 – E4) and junior officers (01 -03), to be conducted within 2 yrs of accession. Strongly recommended for ADCOs .
      • Items/Issues:
        • - Currently, no standardized training for fleet DAPA’s conducting the Alcohol AWARE training.
        • - CIN is no longer available
    • 20. Alcohol and Drug Abuse Managers/Supervisors (ADAMS) for Supervisors Training/ S-501-0120
      • Course Description: 1day course designed to provide Navy supervisors with knowledge and skills in alcohol and drug abuse prevention, recognition and documentation, intervention and aftercare.
      • Items/issues:
        • CIN is used to identify completion of the course and commands must submit student rosters to CPPD to ensure students get credit for course completion.

    • 21. Alcohol and Drug Abuse Managers/Supervisors (ADAMS) for Facilitators Training/ S-501-0110
      • Course Description: 3 day course for E-6/ 0-3 and above to facilitate the ADAMS for Supervisors course to the fleet.
      • Course Requirements: OPNAVINST 5350.4C. All candidates should have attended the ADAMS for Supervisors course prior to attending.
    • 22. Alcohol and Drug Abuse Managers/Supervisors (ADAMS) for Leaders Training/ S-501-0130
      • Course Description: 4 hour training course for all CO’s, XO’s, CMC’s, and Department Heads 04 and above. The course focuses on managing substance abuse issues at the command and community level. This is a practical leadership course in the prevention and de-glamorization of alcohol abuse and the deterrence of drug use.
      • Course Requirements: OPNAVINST 5350.4C – states that this is a once in a career requirement. Strongly recommended for ADCOs.
    • 23. Personal Responsibility: Values Education and Training (PREVENT) / S-501-0150
      • Course Description: 3 Day Course / Target Audience: 18-25 year olds.
        • Provides junior Sailors a source of pertinent information about the DON policies and how to turn training into action with decision making, goal setting, and communication skills.
        • Currently contract taught by Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE) .
        • CPPD/ CNL military facilitators are being trained to conduct 370 FY09 PREVENT classes.
      • Course Requirements: OPNAVINST 5350.4C – All Navy members in the targeted age group should attend PREVENT (or comparable course) during first enlistment. Strongly recommended for ADCOs.
    • 24. Command Management Equal Opportunity Program Manager / A-500-0009
      • Course Description: 5 day course for Command Managed Equal Opportunity Managers.
        • Provides basic knowledge and skills training to senior enlisted and officers in order for them to perform as Command Managed Equal Opportunity (CMEO) Manager.
        • CMEO program responsibilities include EO policies and issues; EEO coordination; Training and Command Assessment; Conflict Management; Inspections, Investigations, and Reports.
      • Course Requirements: OPNAVINST 5354.1 requires CMEO Manager attend CPPD approved CMEO Managers course prior to assuming his/her duties.
