Based on the best practices as observed in 2011, the following is a list of 10 sports marketing trends that are potentially to continue growing in 2012.
Just like last year, while some trends are already knocking on the door of the mainstream, others are yet to be discovered by most of the sports brands.
All trends are carefully selected to reflect the most important changes in the industry in terms of fan experience, engagement, loyalty and eventually new revenue sources.
In 2011, we witnessed some very exciting and innovative campaigns that had an impact. Some new trendsetting sports brands emerged. Manchester City seems to be be gaining the edge in the digital communication as it earned four mentions in this trend report.
