2. About.
- Cornwall Live! will focus on the music scene in Cornwall
- Featuring artists, venues, festivals as well as a small events list
and discography
- The news element will come from both primary (questionnaires and
polls on the site and Facebook: finding out in more depth the
interests of my target audience) and secondary research (research
into music in Cornwall past and present) which will provide me with
information to base news articles, features and reviews around
3. Newsworthy
- My features and articles will be built around
stories that effect the musical talent and fans in
Cornwall
- For example, one idea could be an interview with
a Cornish musician who has toured nationally
highlighting his views on his roots or an interview
with a booking agent at a venue on why it is a
challenge to attract the 'bigger' artists to the county
4. Sources
- I will use a range of sources that can help me dig into the county
scene and to create content.
These include:
- Cornwall Music Forum
- What's On Guide (West Briton)
- 247 Magazine
- Cornwall Community News
- Facebook
- Myspace
- FXU
- Word of Mouth
- Website of venues and festivals in the area
5. Public Engagement
- I will be using SurveyMonkey and Facebook in order to create
surveys and can also make use of the 'Polls' bar within Wordpress.
This will become a platform for readers to get involved and say what
they want to read.
- However, I'm not relying solely on this as it won't take off straight
away and I will begin with local interviews and articles, my own
content
- Under each story is a comments section where readers can voice
their opinions on what they have just read.
- When at an event I can interview some of those that are attending
6. Design
- Something that will be hard to
miss and catchy
- I'll use my own images and
spend time using Photoshop to
improve the quality and style,
leading to an overall theme
7. Target Audience
- My primary target audience will be 16-30 year
olds who go out on a weekly basis, possibly to
student nights or gigs
- An equal proportion of gender, as I feel that the
music I am covering isn't gender biased
- I am aiming for readers between working to
middle class, under to post-graduates.
- Fans of dubstep and drum n' bass to rock and rap
