  • 3. Function of a leaf The main function of a leaf is how it takes in co2 (carbon dioxide) and changes/filters it into sugar and oxygen.
  • 4. Parts of a leaf
  • 5. How it does it Water+light=chemical Energy The sugar that the leaf makes is nutrients the plant needs like water, sun, and nutrients from the soil. Chemical Energy+CO2=Sugar
  • 6. The stomata Part 2 By: Alex
  • 7. What does the stomata do? The stomata are little holes on the underside of the leaf that do many things. Some of the things it does are, to take in co2,spit out excess water the plant does not need, and

  • 9. What happens when a stomata opens?... When a stomata opens, 2 things happen. Those things are... When a stomata opens, co2 enters, while excess water and oxygen exit through the stomata. #1 Makes sure co2 gets in. #2 Makes sure excess H2o and oxygen go out.
