Kindness a risky business2 Kindness a risky business2 Presentation Transcript

    • Kindness: a risky business!?!
    • What might you be prepared to risk to be genuinely kind … to yourself? … to a loved one? … to a friend? … to a colleague? … or even to a stranger?
    • do you have the courage to apologise for something you did or said, even if you thought you were in the right? could you thank a colleague for something they said, even if it had hurt at the time? could you give something to a stranger, without expecting anything in return? might you consider telling someone you love them, with the risk that they might not be able to say the same back to you?
    • And what might happen if your selfless gesture of kindness was to spark a series of other acts of kindness? What might your single courageous act unleash? The truth is … nobody knows! Which is precisely why you might want to try it … what’s the risk?
    • One truth we DO know however … … is that our happiness is in our hands … and that any gesture of kindness towards ourselves, or another, will make a positive difference to our experience of our work and life!
