Water crisis questions presentation

 1. 1. A slideshow presentation By Daniel Water Crisis
 2. 2. How has Technology helped us save fresh water?

Machinery and Technology have helped us provide freshwater in many ways. Like making dams, using salt water and turning it into freshwater. All this stuff is made by us and it does help a lot when we have only 1% freshwater left on earth.

 3. 3. What countries are in water crisis and what are the reasons?

Well lots of countries right now are in water crisis. What is the problem? Well we can’t share 1% freshwater with everyone, so we have to provide the freshwater naturally. What I mean is countries like Malawi and Madagascar have to provide their own resources. In our case they need to provide freshwater by drilling into the ground. One reason is that the land is very dry and the water just evaporates into air. Most countries in water crisis have this problem.

 4. 4. What things actually make water become contaminated?

Well there are many things that can make water contaminated. For example an organic pollutant would be detergent. When mixed with water it is too hard to purify the water again. There are also inorganic pollutants such as, Chemical Waste which someone could leave lying on the top of a hill. Then what would happen. Chemical Waste could leak out roll down the hill and contaminate maybe a freshwater lake. This would not do any good with us having 1% freshwater left.

 5. 5. How does the state of the environment effect the supply of water?

Rotten plants, and trees could effect the supple of water because if some rotten tree branch fall off a tree it could land in a freshwater cylinder for someone’s house which would cause that family to get diarrhea. Also swamp trees make water go all green and yucky.
