    • OVERVIEWThe AIDS in Africa Eliminated staff will develop and implement a comprehensivepublic relations plan and timeline that fits the budget, targets the desired marketsand promotes the AIDS in Africa Eliminated 7 Nations Marathon.Increase membership, heighten public awareness and enlist active moral andfinancial support for AIDS in Africa Eliminated as a savior for the Africans affected bythe disease.
    • OBJECTIVESThe objectives of our promotional efforts will be to: Increase awareness of available services Increase donations Position AIDS in Africa Eliminated as a positive, vital force internationally Establish viable working partnerships with pharmaceutical companies that provide AIDS medication globally. Increase positive recognition, enthusiasm and support for AIDS in Africa Eliminated as a leader in delivery of low-cost, quality AIDS medication to African citizens, as well as proper food, clothing and shelter.STRATEGIES  Implement a marathon inviting citizens from 7 major nations to participate.  Invite the participating 7 nations to develop a slogan for the marathon, as well as choose a t-shirt design; award the winner with $50,000.  Live coverage of 7 Nations Marathon; winner will receive a $500,000 reward and an opportunity to participate in the upcoming Olympics.
    • TARGET AUDIENCES1. General population markets including the following current and potential markets:  Women ages 17-50 from middle to high class families  Men ages 17-50 from middle to high class families  International Celebrities2. Business and economic community including  Pharmaceutical Corporations  Referral agencies and social support organizations3. Community service leaders and organizations4. Political markets including legislators, mayors and civic officials5. Neighbors - businesses, homes in the immediate geographic location6. News media
    • PRELIMINARY TACTICSSTRATEGY: Implement a marathon inviting citizens from 7 major nations toparticipate.TACTIC: 1- Establish a campaign that would convince citizens from the United States, Great Britain, France, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Brazil to run a marathon, and receive donations in return that would be used towards AIDS medication for affected Africans. 2- Establish separate website for the campaign, 7nationsmarathon.com 3- Send brochures to media outlets about AIDS in Africa Eliminated, the 7 Nations Marathon, and about the volunteers that are currently helping in Africa to eliminate AIDS.STRATEGY: Invite the participating 7 nations to develop a slogan for themarathon, as well as choose a t-shirt design; award the winner with $50,000.TACTIC: 1- Reach out to international media outlets to spread the word about the 7 Nations Marathon campaign, and invite listeners to our website. 2- Have a tour bus in each country to go around to major populated areas and have staff and volunteers interview people and ask them for their opinions on t-shirt designs, how AIDS patients can be helped, and how they are willing to help with the campaign.
    • PROGRAM MEASUREMENT Objective 1: Increase awareness of available services  Media highlights included The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, “This Week” with Christian Amanpour, Interview on BBC News, Ellen Degeneres Show. Objective 2: Position AIDS in Africa Eliminated as a positive, vital force internationally  Sent volunteers to speak at sold out events at The Sydney Opera House, The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and Madison Square Garden. Objective 3: Establish viable working partnerships with pharmaceutical companies that provide AIDS medication globally.  Established a contract with Pharmaceutical companies Gilead, Bristol- Myers Squibb, and Cerner Multum to receive discounts on AIDS drugs such as Atripla, Complera and Combivir. Objective 4: Increase positive recognition, enthusiasm and support for AIDS in Africa Eliminated as a leader in delivery of low-cost, quality AIDS medication to African citizens, as well as proper food, clothing and shelter.  Gained sponsorship from The Campbell Soup Company, General Mills, The Kellog Company, The Barilla Group, and The Dannon Company to provide low-cost to free food and beverages for AIDS affected victims in Africa.
