Colloid cyst of third ventricle Origin: neuroepithelial? vs. primitive foregut endoderm? Intermittent generalized headache (rare “classical history”), “colloid cyst apoplexy”, sudden death Gross: gray pultaceous material or soft cartilage-like hyaline substance slipping out like a marble. Micro: cuboidal, columnar cells, goblet cells, ciliated columnar cells IHC: low- and high-molecular CK, EMA: Positive, GFAP: Negativet
