  • How to be successful in Multi-level Marketing  There are many factors in becoming successful in a Multi-level Marketing program  Be prepared to work hard – very hard  Choosing the right program for you  Be ready to commit a significant amount to time to the program  Be ready to hear the word “NO” a lot  And have a realistic idea of what to expect from your MLM experience
  • Hard work  Hard work is the main ingredient for success in any Direct Selling program  Hard work involves  Researching programs to find the right one for you  Training to become familiar with the product or service  Keeping up to date with program enhancements and new products  Meetings in person, on the phone, or online  And always looking for the next potential lead  Each program will have its own challenges – and opportunities
  • Choosing the right program  What is the right program for you?  There are so many potential opportunities out there for a wide variety of products and services  Pick one that  Fits you – something you can become passionate about promoting  Involves working with people you want to be spending a lot of time around  Can provide you the rewards based on the amount of time you spend working  Is a real product or service that has been around a while  Is a good value for the customer
  • Time commitment  The time commitment depends on your goals  If you want to earn some extra money then it won’t require a full time commitment  But if you want a Network Marketing program to be your main source of income it will take a serious amount of time  The good news is that you are able to choose the right program working with the right people so you won’t mind the commitment  And because you are going to be rewarded on the time and effort you spend there is an opportunity to earn much more than a typical 9-5 job will pay
  • Hearing the word “no” a lot  Nothing can be harder than to hear the word “no” all the time  And any successful Network Marketer has heard that a lot – a lot more than the times they hear the word “yes”  The ratio will depend on the product and the person hearing the opportunity  Be prepared to be turned down many time before finding the right person who wants your product or service  The best advice is to never take rejection personally – the lead is not judging you only letting you know that it isn’t something that they find valuable for themselves at that time  And over time if you are successful you will realize that it takes a lot of ‘noes” to get the “yesses”
  • Expectations  A bad rap in the Multi-level Marketing industry is that it is a scam or worse just a pyramid scheme  But if your expectations are in line with the program’s opportunity you will do well  Any time a program seems too good to be true, it probably is  But there are plenty of programs out there that are legitimate opportunities from reputable programs
  • What is not needed to be successful in Multi-level Marketing?  There are many factors in becoming successful in a Multi-level Marketing program but they do not include  Being a “natural” salesman or saleswoman – a reputable program will have training to show you how to become successful  Having a huge number of contacts to start out – that will come over time as you learn the program  Relying on family members alone to support your business (although they can become your best customers)  Talking to absolutely everyone you meet about your program as you will learn how to identify the right ones to approach
  • What are the best motivations to be successful?  Many Multi-level Marketers will tell you that the primary motivation is make money but there is usually a lot more to it than that  Other important motivations include  The ability to be your own boss  Working on your own schedule  Working with people you want to be working with  Feeling that you are contributing to the success of others  Having the opportunity to be rewarded on the amount of effort you put into the program – not just on being there 8 hours a day  Working from almost anywhere and not being tied to an office
  • Is Multi-level Marketing for everyone?  No, not everyone will be cut out to be successful in Multi-level Marketing  The security of a regular weekly paycheck may be too important for an individual to give up – and there is nothing wrong with that  The time commitment and hard work needed may not be right for everyone  And if the prospect of being told “no” much more than “yes” is daunting that will also be a factor  But for the right person with the right opportunity it can be a great way to earn a comfortable living
