  • LEADERSHIP QUALITIES LEADERSHIP QUALITIES PROF. T. K. G. NAMBOODHIRI Based on the book “ INVINCIBLE THINKING ” by RYUHO OKAWA
  • INTRODUCTION
    • A true leader is one who guides people in the right direction to make use of their abilities, time, and resources.
    • A leader must be able to explain future trends and what people need to do in the present.
    • What qualities make a good leader?
  • 1. ABILITY TO SEE INTO THE FUTURE
    • A leader needs the ability to see one or two steps further than others.
    • Just as a very tall person is able to see much farther than others in a crowd, a leader must see ahead of his followers.
    • This requires a greatness of character and spiritual abilities.
  • 2. ABILITY TO WIN THE TRUST
    • A leader must have the ability to make people feel that if they follow and stay close, they can expect a bright future.
    • He must win the trust of people to cause something good to happen.
  • 3. PAST ACHIEVEMENTS
    • A leader must have enough past achievements to convince others of his standing.
    • People look to the way their leader has handled difficult situations in the past.
  • 4. INVINCIBLE THINKING
    • Invincible thinking is a philosophy indispensable for leaders.
    • It is an attitude of finding something positive in all situations, and turning any situation to your advantage.
    • Take every crisis or hardship as an opportunity.
  • 5. SELF REFLECTION
    • A true leader takes time for self reflection.
    • He looks into the depths of the inner self and studies himself deeply.
    • Life is a great teacher and you learn much from the ups and downs in life.
    • Nature will always provide you with opportunities for self reflection. Utilize such occasions for introspection and strengthening of your soul.
  • 6. LEARN FROM ADVERSITY
    • True leaders learn important lessons from adversity. From depths of adversity, they reach heights of achievements. They do the following at such times:
        • Never attribute their hardships to others or to fate
        • Accept what fate has given them without complaints.
        • Learn some positive lessons from every adversity
        • Never rely on the support of others. Work to break out of difficulties relying on their own strengths
  • 7. GROUP ACTIVITY
    • A true leader encourages group activity in his organization
    • He never lets his own limitations restrict the work of the whole. Transcends his limitations by finding others to work with.
    • Trusts his followers, gives responsibilities to them, and lets them get on with the job.
    • He gets others on his side to help and support him on the job.
  • 8.DISCOVER THE INVINCIBLE SELF
    • You are what you think. Never put limits on your capabilities.
    • Always believe that you have the potential to do better than what you are now.
    • Integrate this into your life & manifest your thoughts by making necessary efforts.
    • Progress steadily, one step at a time, & a path will open up before you.
    • You will discover the self that is always victorious & invincible.
