“ Charlotte” Acrylic on canvas. Inspired by Jacques Louis David’s “ The Death of Marat, 1793” A painting depicting the death of a French revolutionary that was murdered by his political enemy, Charlotte Corday.
“Clutch” Oil on wood panel Taken from a photograph at my daughters wedding. (Original photo by Professional photographer, Jennifer MacPherson, used by permission.) I took what impressed me the most and attempted to pare it down to the “bare essential” of the moment. Subjective use of color further removed it from the day’s event into the warmth of the moment.
