STARTING A
SOCIETY FROM
SCRATCH IS
HARD!

(it is actually pretty serious business)

And everything seems okay...
until...

The amazing ‘features’ of
• I am an admin but not a member of the group
• I can not view the member list but I can
actually download it
• Every time a new member joins I have to reset
my password!
• Et cetera

We had to manually trace every
single member and get them
added to the system.
That was fun.

We could have done more if...
• We started a bit earlier
• Union was a bit more responsive
• OnCampus actually worked
• Etc...

Next year...
• Events, presentations, workshops...
• Resources and Kit (which you can borrow
MORE for personal projects)
• Projects
– Hardware/Software/Non-Techie...

We need your help!
• Recruit people from non EE/CS backgrounds
• Get more members!
• Come up with ideas for workshops/events
• Have more regular meetings and stuffs
• Become a more well known society – up there
with the pole dancers (not literally up there
because climbing poles can be dangerous).
