Ever sense I was little Iwanted to go toWashington DC, so whenthe 8th grade DC tripcame around I was veryexcited. We had to get upvery early that day andhead to the school for a 7hour bus ride. When wefinally got to the hotel inVirginia we all settled inand went to bed.
The next morning we gotback on the bus and gotstuck in a massive trafficjam. The first place westopped at was Mount Vernonthe home of GeorgeWashington.
. After that we went to theWashington monument andtook pictures at the top ofthe monument. When wewere done we walked to theCapital building and took atour.
Later we went to the Lincolnon memorial and had tocount all the steps leadingup to his memorial. The laststop of the day we went tothe Iwo Jima memorial.
Then the next we went andwatched some guy talk aboutLincoln’s death at the FordTheater, when suddenly thisrandom guy from the crowdstarted telling jokes whileanother dude played theukulele. After that we wentto the Vietnam memorial.
Then we went out tolunch at theinternational buffet andthere was a drunkenhobo asking theteachers for money. When we were done wewent to the holocaustmuseum.
The last stop of that day wasthe at the World War 2memorial were this guy triedconverting me to some weirdreligion. The next morning we walkedto the white house and tooklots of picture
After that we went to theNewseum. Then a fewfriends and I got some ice-cream from a questionableice cream truck in front ofthe national archives.
When we were done we alltook a big picture on theAlbert Einstein statue. The next day we went to acathedral and the teacherssurprised us by taking us tothe National Zoo
Then the trip was overand we had to go backhome. That why I loveWashington DC.
