  5. 5. <ul><li>The work we do involves receiving “batches” of source documents from our clients </li></ul><ul><li>Work batches include: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Charges – Superbills, Operative Reports, Patient Information </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Payments – Explanation of Benefits (EOB’s), Checks, Deposit Slips </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Correspondence – requests for additional information from insurance companies (Payors) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Discrepancies – items which require corrections or more complete information </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Batches are either received at CHMB as hardcopy or scanned by our clients and uploaded to our secure Client Portal (FTP site) </li></ul><ul><li>Once received (and scanned if hardcopy), batches are indexed accordingly and imported into Laserfiche </li></ul><ul><li>Batches are further indexed and noted with appropriate updates as they move through our workflow to various CHMB departments </li></ul><ul><li>CHMB Workflow </li></ul>
